Kathmandu. A new 7-member working committee has been elected under the leadership of Capt. Purnlal Thakali from the 18th Annual General Meeting and 6th Session of the Tin Gaunle Thakali Sewa Samaj. Capt. Thakali has taken over the leadership for the sixth term from the meeting held in his own building in Swayambhu of Tin Gaunle Thakali Sewa Samaj.

Mangal Thakali, secretary Laxman Thakali and Shanti Thakali were elected unopposed as the vice president. Similarly, Gom Prasad Thakali, Dr. Kabir Thakali, Shantkari Thakali were elected unopposed as members.

Similarly, founding president Hari Bahadur Thakali, outgoing president Chiring Prasad Thakali, and Dr. Shailendra Thakali have been selected as advisors of the society. In the same way, Sita Thakali’s group, chairperson of the Mother’s Group of Unopposed, was elected unopposed.

Sushma Thakali, secretary; Sheetal Thakali, Lali Thakali as treasurer have been elected as the vice president of the mother group, while Mina Moktan Thakali, Chandrakala Thakali, and Manisha Tamang Thakali have been elected as members. MP Shrimaya Thakali, Ram Maya Thakali, and Sharam Thakali have been selected as advisors.

Chairman of the Tin Gaunle Thakali Sewa Samaj Chhiring Prasad Thakali presided over the general meeting and MP Shrimaya Thakali was the chief guest.

Former Presidents Sanjay Thakali, Ashok Thakali, Mim Bahadur Thakali, Senior Citizen Man Bahadur Thakali, Mother Group President Sharam Thakali, and Rammaya Thakali had special hospitality in the program.

On the same occasion, US residents Kiran Thakali, Adesh Chakithin Thakali, Padamkumar Thakali, and Thini Samaj, living in the lower part of the community, were honored.

The program was conducted by Badal Thakali, a member of the society. Manilal Thakali presented the treasurer’s report in the program, and Bima Thakali, the secretary, presented it on behalf of the mother group.

Shanti Thakali, joint secretary of the society, gave a welcome speech to the guests present at the general meeting. In the event, social workers Sanjay Shrestha and Pramila Thakali handed over Rs 55,000 to increase the funds of the society.

Thakali Seva Samaj Branch Office of Three Villages Kathmandu has been celebrating the festivals that come with the New Year. He celebrated Tyunglha festival for three days as a festival to remember the ancestors and also exchanged greetings on the occasion of the general meeting.

Three Village Thakali Service Society is an organization established as a social organization of Thakali people living in Kathmandu with three villages, Thini, Syang, and Chimang of Mustang as their permanent homes.
