Bhojpur. Change waterfall in Khartamcha of Bhojpur is one of the highest waterfalls in the district. Lately, the presence of tourists has started to be seen to see this waterfall, which is 139 meters high.

Locals consider it a beautiful gift of nature. Locals say that when domestic tourists start coming to see this waterfall in Shadanand Municipality-3 Khartamcha, it can become a good source of income.

A fair is held here twice on the full moon of August and Baisakh. Apart from the fair, people have started coming to see the waterfall and visit the dham there. Locals say that if there is more publicity, it can be developed as a tourist destination.

For the development of the waterfall, with the investment of Shadanand Municipality and Koshi State Government, a road is being constructed by making stairs to reach there. Along with the provision of drinking water at the waterfall site, a plank has also been constructed to sit when the water comes.

Indraprasad Dhamala, a local resident, said that there is a popular belief that if you visit Change Dham, your wishes will be fulfilled and the sick will be cured. “The waterfall is naturally very beautiful,” he said. “People come here with the religious belief that their wishes will be fulfilled by visiting here.” It is geographically difficult to reach here. Domestic tourism can be developed if it can be protected and propagated. It is necessary for the state to pay attention to its development.

He said that it would be easy for tourists to come if we can organize roads and footpaths while building structures targeting tourists to reach the falls. It is said that nature has given a beautiful gift, but it has not been able to benefit from it.

Local Devchandra Rai said that since it is the center of faith of all religions, special attention should be paid to its development. “The state needs to pay attention to the search for such places that are overshadowed,” he said. “The highest waterfall in the district has not been noticed by anyone.”

Mayor Surendra Kumar Udas said that Shadananda Municipality is preparing a detailed project report and requesting budget from the central and state governments with the aim of developing and expanding Change Falls and establishing it as a source of income.
