Kathmandu: Gulshan Jha, the main all-rounder of the national cricket team, has been confirmed to play in the U-19 Asia Cup. Gulshan, who has been continuously playing for the senior national team, will also play for the U-19 team in the Asia Cup, according to the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN).
He had previously also played in the Asia Cup with the senior team in Sri Lanka. He was also an important member of the Asian Games and World Cup qualifying squads. Gulshan will be the first player to play in the Asia Cup for Nepal from both the senior and junior teams.
The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has also made a formal decision to keep Gulshan, the all-rounder of the national cricket team, in the U-19 team.
CAN secretary Paras Khadka said that this decision was taken after consultation with everyone, including the coach. Nepal U-19 won the Premier Cup and qualified for the Asia Cup. The U-19 Asia Cup is being held in the UAE from December 8 to 18.
