Kathmandu. With President Ramchandra Paudel as the chief guest, a flower-raising ceremony will be held at Sainik Manch Tundikhel this Saturday afternoon.
The soldier parade will be the main attraction in the flower-raising program organized on the Saturday of Badadasain. President Paudel is the Commander-in-Chief of the Nepalese Army. In the grand program, flowers will be showered by military helicopters and various tunes including national songs will be presented. The army will also present rifles and cannons as part of the floral display.
Prime Minister, Chief Justice, Speaker, Speaker of National Assembly, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense will participate in the ceremony.
Flowering in the context of Badadasain is considered to be a special and original program that perpetuates religion, culture and tradition.
It is an old custom of the Nepali Army to raise flowers cheerfully on the military platform. Jamara and phulpati brought from Gorkha are brought to Dasainghar in Hanumandhoka and phulpati is grown in Tundikhel. After the promotion of Tundikhel is over, there is a practice in the army to allow others to go on Dasain holidays by keeping the required amount of manpower.
